Book Review
As young children, Leonora Wardene and her three brothers lived with Robert Hardford and his brothers at Hardford castle. They all lived as family until tragedy struck. Someone pushed the youngest brother Tristan down the stairs, almost killing him. Leonora and her brothers left Hardford and returned to Wardene Castle. Years later after they are grown up, they are determined to get revenge on the Hardfords. When Leonora is captured and placed in the dungeon, she wounds Robert, the man she loved as a child. Eventually the truth concerning the incident is discovered. It was Roberts’s cousin Morven and his mother that crippled Tristan. The brothers planned to make their escape, rescue Leonora and return to Wardene. Only Morven was waiting around outside the perimeter of the castle and kidnaps Leonora. Can Robert and Leonora’s brothers get to her before Morven harms her? Will they catch Morven and his mother and bring them to trial? Will romance once again bloom between Robert and Leonora?
This is a fast paced, suspenseful, historical romance. I enjoyed this book immensely. Romance, danger, drama, knights...what more could a reader ask for? The characters are done well and the plot moved along smoothly. All in all this is a good read.
